Who we are?
Meet Annet
My name is Annet van der Hoek and I am co-owner of SamiTaal. After a long career in which I guided many people in their work, job applications and talent development, I started working in civic integration education. There I saw every day how important language is: it builds confidence and helps people find their place in society.
At SamiTaal, personal guidance is at the heart of everything we do. Together we look at what you need to move forward.
Meet Arjen
Arjen is co-owner of SamiTaal and actively involved in the organisation and development of the school. After various positions in financial services, he now uses his experience to support students in a practical way. He helps with understanding letters from government bodies such as the Tax Authority, the municipality or DUO, with the goal of enabling people to eventually handle this independently. Together we ensure that students feel safe and welcome and gain the confidence to use their Dutch in everyday life.
In addition, Arjen is a certified energy label advisor and can, where needed, also provide support with questions regarding energy labels and home sustainability.
What we stand for
SamiTaal is more than just a language school. We truly prepare you for Dutch society. In addition to language lessons, we also offer social studies classes, so you not only learn the language, but also gain insight into Dutch norms, values, and systems.
We also support our students with practical matters, such as filing tax returns and understanding official institutions and documents. This way, you are never on your own.
